Give Your Property a Spring Makeover

Winter is finally coming to an end. Because of the cold weather, the outside of your property may not be looking its best. Spring is a popular time for tenants to visit properties they are interested in- apartment complexes, senior living facilities, etc.- due to the nicer weather. For this reason, it is important to have your property looking its best to attract potential leads.

  • A good place to start is to take a tour of your property. Put yourself in the tenant’s shoes and take notes on things that need to be fixed or spruced up in time for spring. Dead plants in the flower bed? Chipped paint or dead lightbulbs? Having this list will make it easy to check each thing off as they are fixed and will help you to make sure all things have been accomplished so that any possible tenants get the best first impression of your property.
  • The exterior of your property is the most important part because it is the first thing that potential tenants see when they visit your property. Adding some new plants by the front door and making sure that any weather damaged exterior is fixed, and the lawn is mowed will go a long way.
  • It is also important that the interior matches the exterior. Make sure that the inside of your spaces are clean and everything is in working order when it is time for new tenants to move in.
  • Update your website and any social media accounts with new pictures of your property once it has been spruced up. A lot of potential leads will visit those before they visit the actual property. It is important that everything looks great and you are catching eyes from the very beginning.

As the property manager, taking the time to make sure that your property is looking its best before peak season will have your occupant rates up and your tenants proud to live at your property.
